BACKGROUND:Nghê is an indigenous representation of the Kirin (or Qilin), created by the Vietnamese, distinct from other versions of the Kirin or lion. Nghê embodies the spirit of a dog and is elevated to be on par with the Four Symbols (Dragon, Qilin, Turtle, and Phoenix) and different from the Chinese lion. Therefore, Nghê was chosen as the Spiritual Guardian Creature of the Spirit Animal Park.
